Alko
Alois Klober started a small forge called AL-KO in 1931. In 1952 they started making handbrakes and other parts and today they are a network with more than 30 production and distribution sites and over 1,000 service stations where they sell motorhomes, vans, caravans, trailers, commercial vehicles and their accessories.
Since 2016, Alko has been working within the DexKo company, the world's leading manufacturer of Axles and chassis components in the light-duty segment. DexKo Global Inc. came about in late 2015 through the merger of Dexter Axle, a leading developer and manufacturer of trailer axles, brakes and related components in North America, and Alko Vehicle Technology, a European developer and manufacturer of trailer axles, trailer and caravan components, chassis and motorised chassis. This merger created the world's largest manufacturer of trailer axles and chassis components. The company has decades of experience in trailer and chassis components and is heading towards sales of €1 billion.
After 2017, Alko acquired the BPW company, which is why you will see the Alko logo on BPW products on some TrailerDirect products.

The nose wheel is the part most subject to wear and tear on the Trailer parts. Due to intensive use or sometimes because it is simply not turned properly and sinks back down while driving. Jockey wheels from Alko come in three different variants: 48 mm, 60 mm and 73 mm. Parts of the nose wheels are of course also available in the form of a Jockey wheel clamp, spindle block, wheel for the nose wheel and a shaft for the nose wheel.

Collision brakes
The minimum towing capacity of the Alko overrun brake is 750 kg and the maximum load capacity is 3500 kg. All Trailers that are heavier must have overrun brakes. When replacing it, always pay close attention to the rating plate, where you will find all the necessary information.
