Buy U-bolt or U-bracket
Here you will find U-bolts and U-brackets in various sizes and are available individually at bargain prices! In addition, all our U-bolts and U-brackets are galvanised. This means that the U-bolts are galvanised. Galvanisation ensures that the bolt remains protected against corrosion. For example, a U-bolt is used on trucks to stabilise the car's chassis and frame. But of course, you can use a U-bolt for other purposes as well. For example, they are used in building installation, connecting mechanical parts and, of course, trailers such as trailers and boat trailers. For example, do you want to mount a drawbar box on your Trailer? For that, you can use U-bolts to securely fasten your Drawbar box. You can also come to us for bearing nuts. Inside the bearing nut is a blue Plastic ring that prevents the nut from vibrating loose. You can often easily order these under 'related products'. You will also find the matching washers there. The washers also have a galvanised coating on the U-bolt or U-bracket.
Tip: Get a nice graduated discount when ordering multiple U-bolts or U-brackets!
U-bolt with sling plate
If you plan to secure something, for example a Battery in a motorbike, a U-bolt is ideal. As the name suggests, a U-bolt has a U-shaped bolt with a thread on both sides. Between these, you can place a connector, which you can tighten by two. This way, you make sure the part that comes between the U-bracket is securely fastened. The great thing about U-brackets is that they don't need to have holes in them. Instead, you clamp these down. The U-brackets with sling plate are also galvanised and available in a quality class of 4.8. The 4.8 stands for the mechanical properties of the U-bolt and U-brackets. 4.8 fall under carbon steel.
How do you measure a bolt with a screw?
There is quite some misunderstanding or confusion with measuring U-bolts or U-brackets. Especially measuring the diameter causes some confusion. Let's get straight to the point: screws and bolts are measured over the thread. So not over the shank. When you do this, you will see that the size you measure is sometimes a bit smaller than the size the screw or bolt officially has. With metric U-bolts, the sizes are fixed as follows:
Diameter U bracket
How you measure the length depends on the type of screw or bolt. In general, the rule is to measure your countersunk (galvanised) bolts or screws as a whole.
