      Knott couplings

      .

Do you want to replace a Knott coupling? Then you do not need to replace the entire Delta couplings but can just replace the coupling. This is easy to do and ensures that the Trailer can be safely hitched again.

      Knott brake cables

Knott brake cables come in different types and, of course, sizes.

      • Fast-mount brake cables. In addition to the standard socket connection for the brake fitting, these brake cables have a mushroom clasp on the other side that can be easily hooked in. This is the "new" model brake cable.
      • Brake cable with M8 threaded rod. The most well-known brake cable which can be fixed and adjusted by a Nut on the brake fitting.

      History Knott GmbH

Knott GmbH develops and manufactures components for trailers. Mainly Axles and braking systems but also other Accessories. Founded in 1937, the KNOTT company has production sites in 15 countries and a turnover of around 500 million euros in 2017.

Knott has a turnover of around 500 million euros.

Knott is, together with Alko and BPW, one of the 3 main suppliers of all trailer chassis components of all current trailer manufacturers.

Mainly Knott supplies complete Axles with drum brake systems and corresponding delta couplings and drawbars. This therefore forms the foundation of trailers from the likes of EDUARD and SARIS.

Knott was founded in 1937 in Eggstätt by Valentin Knott senior. Here the first headquarters was in the family's small farmhouse. The farm's barn was sacrificed to install the first machines.

The barn of the farm was sacrificed to install the first machines.

Here were mainly machines produced which was expanded during the Second World War and then completely dismantled again. Production finally resumed in 1947. This consisted of a test phase of producing appliances and machines that could be used locally such as pasta presses and bread-making machines.

Finally, in 1953, a switch was made to production of Axles and brakes. From 1957, even in two production sites, in Eggstatt and Regensburg. These are still KNOTT's two prominent production sites today. In the early 1960s, smaller work vehicles were developed, thus including today's trailers. This is also where the foundations of today's product range were laid.

In 1963 followed the introduction of the "rubber torsion axle" and 1978 the current drum brake with accompanying overrun brake as we still see it most often in today's trailers.
